Commitment to Lifelong Impact

We’re not just here for today—we invest in every child’s future by fostering confidence, independence, and the skills they need to thrive beyond our homes.

Welcome to Living Life Care

Living Life care was established in 2024 to provide high quality loving therapeutic homes for children who required trauma informed specialised care. At Living Life Care, we believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and loving home. Specialising in small solo and two-bed homes, we provide high-quality, trauma-informed therapeutic care for children aged 6-17 across the West Midlands. Our mission is to offer children who have faced significant challenges a place where they can heal, grow, and thrive in a family-like environment.

Our Approach

Living Life Care is built on the foundation of trauma-informed care, ensuring that each child receives individualised support tailored to their unique experiences. Our homes provide a sense of stability, security, and belonging, helping children to develop positive relationships, build self-esteem, and create a brighter future.

Personalised Transition Plans for a Successful Move

Transitions can be a particularly anxious and challenging time for children who have experienced instability and trauma. Living Life Care ensures a thoughtful, well-planned transition process, whether it’s a child moving into the home or preparing for their next stage of life.

Every child’s transition into a living Life Home is carefully managed to create a smooth, reassuring, and welcoming experience. We develop a personalised transition plan based on the child’s history, needs, and preferences, which may include:

  • Pre-placement visits to help the child familiarise themselves with their new home and caregivers.
  • A gradual introduction to staff, the environment, and daily routines to minimize stress and uncertainty.
  • A child-centred welcome pack, including familiar comfort items, sensory tools, and a personalised introduction to their new home.
  • A transition keyworker assigned to build trust and provide emotional support throughout the process.

Multi-Agency Collaboration for a Holistic Transition

At Living Life Care, we believe in strong multi-agency partnerships to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child. We work closely with:

  • Social workers and local authorities to align care plans and ensure the child’s voice is central in decision-making.
  • Educational specialists and virtual school heads to provide continuity in learning and address any additional needs.
  • Therapists, psychologists, and mental health professionals to maintain therapeutic interventions and ensure emotional stability.
  • Foster carers or family members (where appropriate) to support relationships and prepare for reunification.

Preparing for the Next Stage of the Child’s Journey

Living Life Care is committed to empowering each child with the tools and confidence needed for their next step, whether that is returning home, moving into a foster family, or transitioning to independent living.

Returning Home – We work with birth families or kinship carers to rebuild relationships, provide therapeutic parenting guidance, and offer gradual reintegration support.

Foster Placement – For children moving to a long-term family environment, we help prepare them emotionally and ensure a structured transition, including introducing them to their new foster carers gradually.

Independent Living – For older children preparing to transition into adulthood, we provide life skills training, including budgeting, cooking, self-care, and emotional resilience. We also ensure continued support from external services to help them maintain stability as they transition to independence.

Each child’s transition plan is flexible and tailored to their needs, ensuring they move forward at a pace that feels safe and supportive for them.

Understanding ACEs and Trauma-Informed Care

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) such as neglect, abuse, household dysfunction, and exposure to violence can have long-lasting effects on a child’s development, mental health, and overall well-being. Research has shown that children who experience multiple ACEs are at a higher risk of poor physical and emotional health outcomes, difficulties in education, and challenges in forming secure relationships.

Our trauma-informed model of care is designed to mitigate the impact of ACEs by providing:

  • A Safe and Predictable Environment: Stability and consistency to help children rebuild trust and feel secure.
  • Emotional and Psychological Support: Skilled caregivers trained in therapeutic techniques to help children process their past experiences and develop resilience.
  • Strength-Based Approaches: Focusing on each child’s strengths to foster confidence, self-worth, and independence.
  • Holistic Healing: Combining therapeutic interventions, life skills development, and community engagement to support long-term well-being.

Why Choose Living Life Care?

  • Personalised therapeutic Care: We tailor our care and support to meet the specific needs of each child, ensuring they receive the right level of guidance and care throughout their time with us.
  • Holistic Development: Beyond meeting basic needs, we focus on emotional well-being, life skills, and future aspirations, thus preparing each child for the next step in their journey.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Our team is dedicated to creating a safe and enriching environment that fosters continuous growth and positive outcomes.

At Living Life Care, we are more than just a care provider—we are a home where children can rediscover hope and rebuild their lives with love, compassion, and expert care.
