Our Founders – Directors
Emeka Madumere and Karla Wade –
Emeka and Karla are not just partners in life but also in purpose, sharing a deep-rooted passion for improving the lives of others and creating lasting, positive change. For over 17 years, this dynamic duo has worked side by side, complementing each other’s strengths and driving forward initiatives that make a real difference. Their unwavering work ethic, dedication to social care, and commitment to their community are the cornerstones of their success.
With over a decade of experience in business development and property investment, Emeka and Karla have built and managed a substantial portfolio of properties, not just as an enterprise, but to uplift and support those in need. They have used their properties to provide safe and stable housing for vulnerable individuals, including those facing homelessness, individuals in need of refuge, and those requiring supported living. Their mission is not just about providing shelter but about creating environments where people can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.
As parents to three children, Emeka and Karla deeply understand the importance of a loving, stable, and nurturing home. This personal insight fuels their drive to support as many children and young people as possible, ensuring they have a safe space where they feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Their work is not just about providing a house; it’s about creating a home filled with warmth, security, and the opportunity to thrive.
In pursuit of their mission, Emeka and Karla have joined forces with exceptional professionals like Tanya Humphries, ensuring that every Child and young person they support, receives care from individuals who are as passionate and dedicated as they are. Their collaborative approach and commitment to working with professionals who share their values of compassion, integrity, and excellence make Living Life Care more than just a service, it is a movement for positive change.
Through Living Life Care, Emeka and Karla aim to forge strong community bonds, create lasting positive memories, and brighten the difficult childhoods of vulnerable young people. They believe that by surrounding children with love, stability, and the right support, they can transform lives, build brighter futures, and shape a world where every child feels safe, valued, and hopeful for what lies ahead.
Their journey is more than business, it’s a lifelong commitment to leaving a legacy of kindness, support, and positive impact.

Operations Director / Responsible Individual – Tanya Humphries – Leading with Compassion and Purpose
With almost 20 years of experience in children’s residential care, Tanya has dedicated her career to creating safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments for children and young people who have experienced trauma. From her early role as a Support Worker to her leadership as a Responsible Individual and Managing Director, Tanya has been at the forefront of trauma-informed residential care, ensuring that every child receives the stability, care, and support they need to heal and thrive.
Her experience spans private sector SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and LD (Learning Disabilities) homes across the Midlands, including mixed and single-gender settings, female CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation) homes, youth offending remand homes, and therapeutic residential settings.
Recognising the need for a comprehensive therapeutic approach, Tanya has designed and implemented a trauma-informed model of care that incorporates Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) and PACE principles, as well as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. This model ensures that every child receives care that is both emotionally attuned and developmentally supportive, fostering resilience and long-term well-being.
Tanya is also a proud member of WAGS (Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care) Mentoring Hub, a national platform that empowers women in social care through mentorship, shared best practices, and leadership development. This initiative provides a safe space for professionals to learn, inspire, and shape the future of social care, reinforcing Tanya’s passion for supporting and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
Tanya’s commitment to trauma-informed care, strategic leadership, and continuous learning ensures that the children in her care receive the best possible support, allowing them to build a brighter and more hopeful future.
“Being a leader in children’s residential care isn’t just about management—it’s about making a real difference in a child’s life. For me, leadership means inspiring others to provide love, safety, and stability to children who need it most. Every child deserves the chance to heal and grow, and knowing that I can be part of that journey is the greatest privilege of all.” – Tanya Humphries
